UNI-T UT301C+ Infrared Thermometer is a Non-Contact Laser LCD Display Infrared Thermometer Digital C/F Selection Surface Temperature Pyrometer Imager.

The Model UT300C+ Infrared Thermometer measures the surface temperature by detecting the amount of infrared energy radiated from the target’s surface. Thermometers are non-contact infrared devices with a low-consumption design that allows for longer usage, helping to solve the frequent issues of changing batteries and low battery levels during measurement. Intelligent design can make measurement easier and quicker. Set a start time and interval. The device will auto-turn on at the start time, perform a measurement, then turn off, and repeat the procedure once for every interval time. Intervals range from 1 m to 96 hours, and the number of measurements and data storage can be up to 99 sets.

How to Use the UNI-T UT301C+ Infrared Thermometer

Using the UNI-T UT301C+ Infrared Thermometer is simple and quick. Follow the steps below to ensure accurate and reliable temperature measurements:

• Power On the Device

  • Press the trigger once to turn on the thermometer.
  • The display will show the last reading in “HOLD” mode.

• Aim at the Target Surface

  • Point the laser at the surface whose temperature you want to measure.
  • Ensure that the target area is larger than the measurement spot for accurate results (the distance-to-spot ratio is 12:1).

• Take the Temperature Reading

  • Press and hold the trigger to begin measuring.
  • The word “SCAN” will appear on the screen, and the display will continuously update the temperature reading.
  • Release the trigger to hold the current value on the display.

• Adjust Emissivity (If Needed)

  • Different materials emit infrared energy differently.
  • To adjust emissivity, press the SET button until the emissivity (ε) icon appears. Use the up/down keys to select a value between 0.10 – 1.00, depending on the surface type (for most materials, keep it at 0.95).

• Switch Measurement Modes

  • Use the MODE button to view MAX, MIN, AVG, and DIFF temperature readings.
  • You can also set HIGH and LOW temperature alarms for process control or safety monitoring.

• Change Units or Settings

  • In the SET menu, you can toggle between °C and °F, enable or disable the laser pointer, and turn the buzzer on/off according to your needs.

• Data Logging (Optional)

  • The UT301C+ can store up to 99 readings.
  • In HOLD mode, press LOG to save or review stored temperature data.

• Automatic Power Off

  • The device will automatically turn off about 15 seconds after the last operation to save battery life.

Tips for Best Accuracy

• Avoid measuring through glass or transparent materials — they can block infrared energy.
• For shiny or reflective metals, cover the spot with non-reflective tape or flat paint before measuring.
• Let the thermometer acclimate to the environment if moved between hot and cold areas.
• Keep the lens clean and avoid touching it with your fingers.
