📋 Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Collect Water Sample

• Rinse the test tube or comparator cell with the water to be tested.

• Fill the test tube up to the marked line (usually 10 mL) with the sample water.

2. Add the Tablet

• Remove one Phenol Red Rapid Tablet from the blister pack.

• Drop one tablet into the water sample.

3. Crush and Mix

• Cap the test tube and shake gently until the tablet is completely dissolved.

  • These are “rapid” dissolving tablets, so crushing may not be necessary.

  • If undissolved, use a clean stirring rod to help.

4. Observe the Color Change

• The solution will turn a shade of red, indicating the pH level.
