Autoclave-এর সর্বোচ্চ সহনশীল তাপমাত্রা থাকে সাধারণত 200°C থেকে 220°C পর্যন্ত।
এর বেশি তাপমাত্রা প্রয়োগ করলে PTFE (Teflon) liner গলে যেতে পারে বা বিকৃত হয়ে যেতে পারে।
নির্ধারিত লিমিটের বেশি চাপ সৃষ্টি হলে reactor-এর safety valve বা PTFE chamber ফেটে যেতে পারে।
ফলে দুর্ঘটনা ঘটার সম্ভাবনা থাকে।
কিছু অক্সিডাইজিং এজেন্ট যেমনঃ HNO₃, KMnO₄ বা CrO₃ — PTFE-এর সাথে প্রতিক্রিয়া করে।
এর ফলে PTFE চেম্বার নষ্ট হয়ে যায় বা এর গঠন দুর্বল হয়ে পড়ে।
শক্ত ঘর্ষণ বা ধাতব ব্রাশ দিয়ে পরিষ্কার করলে PTFE-এর উপরে স্ক্র্যাচ পড়ে যেতে পারে।
পরবর্তীতে তা থেকে লিকেজ বা বিকৃতি হতে পারে।
ঢাকনা সঠিকভাবে টাইট না করলে রিঅ্যাকশনের সময় গ্যাস বা তরল বাইরে চলে আসতে পারে।
এতে reactor ও chamber ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়।
দীর্ঘমেয়াদী ব্যবহারে PTFE-এর গঠন দুর্বল হয়ে পড়ে।
পুরাতন বা ব্যবহৃত PTFE বারবার ব্যবহার করলে রিঅ্যাকশন ফলাফলেও প্রভাব ফেলতে পারে।
আর্দ্রতা, ধুলো বা রোদে সংরক্ষণ করলে PTFE ও Reactor-এর ধাতব অংশ ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়।
সর্বোচ্চ তাপমাত্রা ও চাপের সীমা মেনে চলুন।
নিষিদ্ধ কেমিক্যাল এড়িয়ে চলুন।
ব্যবহারের পর সাবধানে পরিষ্কার করুন (নরম কাপড় বা ব্রাশ ব্যবহার করুন)।
নিয়মিত PTFE চেম্বার পরিদর্শন করুন এবং প্রয়োজনে পরিবর্তন করুন।
নিরাপদ জায়গায় সংরক্ষণ করুন।
